About Ms. Bloomquist

My name is Cary Bloomquist and I am the Middle School Science/Language Arts Teacher here at Kenny Lake School. I will also be the K-12 Special Education teacher as well. My husband, Aaron and I have been Alaskan residents for 15 years. We have a 4 year old daughter, Adeline, and 2 dogs Mocha, and Gravy.I spent 14 years teaching middle and high school school science in Tok and Anchorage, and also taught Chemistry and Physics for a period of time in Pine City, MN. We are avid outdoors people. We have our own guiding business, and have spent our summers in the Copper River Valley guiding for bears and salmon since 2002. I enjoy participating in sports. I have coached soccer, volleyball, and cross-country skiing. I am certified with National Archery in the Schools, and with Department of Fish and Game as a Basic Hunter Education, and Muzzleloader instructor.

I am looking forward to my time here in Kenny Lake, and am looking forward to getting to know and working with the students, parents, and community!
